Not long ago the Lord asked me to develop a training program for Him. I was driving home from work one afternoon and all of a sudden the Lord asked me to develop a discipleship training program. Then He started dumping on me the reasons for it. You see most new Christians (and a lot of old ones) don't have a clue about how to live a dynamic Christian life. A lot of them think all they have to do is go to church on Sunday, sing a few songs, pray a little and listen to the weekly sermon. But the Bible says, those that call themselves Christians must walk as Jesus did. What is needed, what God asked me to develop, is a training program to develop Christians into fruitful disciples.
I have started on this and have developed the framework. I had a head start because I have a Master's degree in Occupational Training and have previously developed an apprenticeship program. My background aside, the key to developing an effective training program is listening to the Holy Spirit; and that is what I am endeavoring to do.
